About Greg
Versatility
Greg Zigmont has been captivating audiences around CT for the past two decades with his melodic voice, tasteful guitar playing and pleasing arrangements. Greg has covered rock, pop, blues and country and has now added standards from the Great American Song Book to his repertoire. Greg can tailor his show to suit an energetic party, bar or quiet dinner scene.

Greg inherited his love of music from his father Mike Zigmont who was a gigging sax player in the 1960's. Greg undertook studies of percussion, vocals, theory and arranging in the Avon CT school system and the Julius Hartt School of music, and later at Providence College.
Although Greg is still a percussionist and drummer, he decided to pursue the guitar a few years after college. In his words: “It's a lot easier to entertain a room with singing accompanied by guitar than singing accompanied by drums.” In recent years, Greg has studied jazz, including playing the 7 string jazz guitar, which suits playing standards so well.
